LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Researchers from Texas Tech are headed to the Gulf to study the oil spill.
Governor Rick Perry announced the collaborative study on Tuesday.
"I'm announcing the formation of the Gulf Project - representing an unprecedented collaboration of the state's top scientists, engineers and researchers, focused on a clear set of vitally important goals of protecting our residents, our environment and our economy," said Perry.
The University of Texas, Texas A&M, University of Houston, Rice, and SMU will join researchers from Texas Tech in this study.
