Rain chances probable across West Texas

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD)- This morning there are isolated showers in the area, some with moderate to heavy rain. Early morning temperatures are in the 60s with mostly cloudy skies. This afternoon there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rain. Flooding of low areas an poor drainage areas is possible. Do not drive into water unless you know it is safe to do so. High temperatures for Thursday will be in the upper 70s. Tonight there is a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rain and possible flooding in areas. Overnight lows will be in the mid 60s.

Friday the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms continues with local heavy rain, cooler temperatures and cloudy skies. Chance for measurable rain be about 60 percent with high temperatures in the upper 70s.

Showers and thunderstorms continue into Saturday with mostly cloudy skies and humid conditions. Chances for rain decrease slightly with a 40 percent chance of measurable rain. High temperatures will be in the low 80s.
