Amarillo airport, country club and high school flooded by recent rains

AMARILLO, TX (KCBD) - A few days ago, Lubbock struggled with flooding and we're still cleaning up. Overnight, it was Amarillo that suffered the latest round of mother nature's fury.

Water like a raging river was rushing down the streets of Amarillo, along with plenty of stalled cars. The terminal at the Rick Husband International Airport was also flooded.

There were reports of six to eight inches of standing water in the baggage claim. Media reports indicate that the Airport is now open again.

Meanwhile, one of the Amarillo County Clubs remains under three feet of water. Also, a school in nearby Highland Park was completely flooded out. So far, there are no reports of injuries.
