LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – If you've ever bought pine nuts, you know they're very expensive and after you hear this you may not want to add them to your favorite recipe.  Apparently, those little nuts are getting blamed for an annoying condition called pine mouth syndrome.

"Two days after I ate my nuts I was eating dinner and everything tasted bad," said Maria McGuiness, who has pine mouth syndrome.

The condition is not dangerous it's not permanent and it doesn't make the person feel sick, but dozens, including these two women, have contacted the FDA to report a bitter lingering taste after eating pine nuts and a recent medical journal calls pine mouth an emerging problem.
