LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The City of Lubbock will reopen Lake Alan Henry with limited access Saturday morning, July 10th at 6 a.m.
The area of lake west of the public boat ramp will be inaccessible due to the nearby location of containment booms. Law enforcement will be at the lake to enforce the limited access. To date, no oil has been found in Lake Alan Henry.
Also, the City of Lubbock is ending its emergency management operations at the lake as the oil leak incident focuses on cleanup and recovery and moves away from the initial emergency response. City personnel will continue to monitor lake conditions and remain in daily contact with work crews as the cleanup process continues.
