LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - It may not be flu season, but germs don't always take off for the summer. A New Zealand study shows less than 5% of people who cough or sneeze are doing what is recommended. Doctors know now that just covering your mouth with your hand when you cough or sneeze is not enough because you spread germs from that hand to anything you touch next. So, again this is a reminder to either use a tissue to cover your mouth or cough and sneeze into your elbow.
