Cagle's To Keep City Sewage Line

It looks like Cagle's Steakhouse will keep their city sewage connection after all.

As NewsChannel 11 reported last week, the Lubbock City Council voted to cut off Cagle's sewer connection. But City Councilman Jim Gilbreath says he feels it was the wrong thing to do. He says there was a misunderstanding on the council's part. Cagle's is in the county and had made a deal with the city to tie into the Lubbock Reese Redevelopment Authority's sewage lines.

Gilbreath says the council was misinformed about the deal and voted to cut them off, thinking it was illegal. However, Councilman Victor Hernandez feels procedures still should have been followed and says the action to disconnect is still appropriate.
