Two Injured in Speed-Related Accident

Lubbock Police say speed and slick streets are responsible for a serious accident at 96th St. & Quaker around 11:30am.

According to Police, the driver of a Jeep was speeding south on Quaker when he lost control of his vehicle on a wet spot and hit an Oldsmobile head on.

EMS took the driver of the Oldsmobile, 59-year-old Guadalupe Mote, to Covenant with serious injuries, where she has since been upgraded to good condition. The driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries.
