MHMR offers programs for returning Veterans

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – MHMR has been awarded a major grant to help Veterans better transition from the military back to civilian life. 

The programs are in place, but the agency is in need of more volunteers to help this work.  Not just professional therapists, but they also need veterans who can provide a support group to the new ones coming home.

"We need post-deployed military people, who have been there and done that and we also need licensed professional counselors and licensed marriage and family therapists," said Laurie Cross, the Veterans Coordinator at MHMR.
