LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Texas Tech Lady Raiders Coach Kristy Curry and the Lady Raiders will attend and volunteer at the 6th annual Fit4Fun triathlon Saturday morning, July 17th.
The triathlon begins at 7:30 a.m. with 125 participants that range in age from 7 to 14 years old. Coach curry will speak to the participants and their families. The Lady Raiders will be there to cheer on the participants and give out medals at the finish line.
The Triathlon will be at the Texas Tech Student Recreation Center and leisure pool on Main Street just east of Indiana Ave.
The 6th Annual Fit4Fun Kids Triathlon has two age groups, 7-10 years and 11-14 years. The 7-10 age group features a 100-yard swim, 2.5 mile-cycle and one-mile run. The 11-14 age group will participate in a 200-yard swim, 3.75-mile cycle and 1.5-mile run.
The event is sponsored by Texas Tech Recreational Sports, Body Mind Initiative and Covenant Health System.
