Former Texas Governor Honored at Texas Tech

On Friday, the Texas Tech Board of Regents handed out the highest award ever given to one individual. Former Texas governor, Preston Smith was given the "Infinito Horizonte" award, which means "endless horizons."

This award is to recognize Smith's impact on the Texas Tech University system while he served as governor in the early 70's. Smith helped create TTU's Health Sciences Center and the School of Law.
