LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A 41-year-old man died early Saturday morning after being struck by a vehicle southeast of Lubbock along U.S. Highway 84.  The Department of Public Safety reports the victim was walking in the middle of the outside, eastbound lane around 2:15 a.m. when the vehicle hit and killed him.

The collision happened at the intersection with County Road 3100, in front of the Posey Gin.  Authorities say the victim had multiple addresses, and they have not been able to contact any relatives, so we are holding-off on releasing his name.

KCBD NewsChannel 11 will bring you the latest on this investigation as it becomes available.
