The two names you will see are Randy Neugebauer of Lubbock and Mike Conaway of Midland. On Saturday, Neugebauer hit the sidewalks of Lubbock vying for votes the good old-fashioned way.
"My favorite thing is going door-to-door and meet them personally," says Neugebauer.
"Steve, I am out today going door to door asking for the vote in this very important election June 3rd," says Randy to a Lubbock citizen.
Randy's taking his campaign for Congress to a whole new level, and it's personal.
"Person-to-person, I think it's just a good way to do anything. It's the way I do my business, and so I think it's a good way to run a campaign. We believe that direct contact, person-to-person contact, is very important to our campaign," says Randy.
And it's been that way from the very beginning.
"We didn't really change our strategy the day after May 3rd. We said we'll just keep doing what we're doing because we ended up in first place and that strategy worked for us," says Randy.
And it's still working on Saturday.
But even if someone isn't home, he leaves flyers to let them know he's been there, and that their vote counts.
"We can't meet everybody, but one of the things we find is when we meet people person-to-person, they go and tell other people, 'I've met Randy Neugebauer,'" says Randy.
"I think the message here (Saturday) is that I care, I'm serious, and I intend to do a good job," says Randy.
Again, the runoff election for Congressional District 19 is June 3rd. Early voting begins next Monday, May 19th, and runs through Friday, May 30th.
