A fatal motorcycle accident near 82nd St. and University on Saturday. 41-year-old Preston Sanders of Lubbock was headed north on University around 6:00 p.m. when 21-year-old Daniel Herrera pulled out of the Taco Bell parking lot in front of Sanders' motorcycle.
Sanders hit the side of the white car, knocking him and the motorcycle to the ground. Sanders was not wearing a helmet. He died at UMC. This is the fifth fatal motorcycle accident this year.
No one in the car was injured. The accident is under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.
