Man arrested Wednesday evening after hitting tree

LUBBOCK,TX(KCBD)- One man is behind bars after hitting a tree in northeast Lubbock.

Police say 52-year-old Herbert Lee Johnson lost control of his car just after 9 p.m. Wednesday while turning into the driveway of the Windcrest Estacado Apartments at 512 North MLK.

The car hit a small tree and then came to a stop in a field near the apartments. Johnson was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
