LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - While Governor Rick Perry was in Lubbock on Monday, KCBD NewsChannel 11 asked about a new report saying he used his position to get more money for a piece of land at lake LBJ when he sold it back in 2007.
"Everything that I have ever done has been reported on extensively in the publicly and they have been open, honest, and at arms length," says Perry.
An independent appraisal shows Perry may have used his status to gain almost $500,000 on different land sales, but he insists they were completely legal.
Perry's Democratic challenger, Bill White, released a statement saying in part "It's clear Perry is good to his friends, and they're good to him, and it's costing the people of Texas."
