Pharmacist explains one drug store is a plus for Tahoka

TAHOKA, TX (KCBD) -

TAHOKA, TX (KCBD) - There used to be another one on the town square, O'Donnell even had one in the 1960's, but with both now closed, there's only one pharmacy left to serve the Tahoka and the surrounding area.

Tahoka Drug has been a family business since it opened in 1923. It's now in the hands of a third-generation pharmacist.  "It's an advantage of a small town is we know all of our customers; we know about what all of their health care needs are and what conditions they have, and so, I feel like we're able to take better care of them than in a big city," Haney Wells said.

There's much more than medication at the drug store.  It's also a one-stop-shop for gifts as well.
