Lubbock Councilman Invites Residents To Get To Know City Officials

Lubbock City Councilman, Victor Hernandez had a message for Lubbock residents Wednesday. Hernandez made a trip to the Police Department's Mobile Unit, currently located at Cavazos Junior High.

The councilman says he wants other Lubbock residents to follow his example by getting to know Lubbock Officers. "They're not here just to answer questions and field complaints, they're here so that we can get to know them personally. And, I think that is extremely important, not only with our police department but also with all of our city services. So, we want to encourage the community to come out," said Councilman Hernandez.

The LPD Mobile Unit will be at Cavazos through Friday. On Thursday, it is open from eight to six and on Friday from eight to eight.
