2003 Property Values to be Released to Public

If you don't know the value of your house, you soon will.

The Lubbock Central Appraisal District is mailing out proposed property values for 2003. Values are up 11.55% since 2002. In 2002, the average value of a residence in Lubbock County was $71,944. For 2003, that number increased to $77,322.

The proposed appraisals are based on the 2002 tax rate and give homeowners and idea of what they will be paying in homeowners taxes.
