Bayer CropScience benefits Littlefield community

LITTLEFIELD, TX (KCBD) -

LITTLEFIELD, TX (KCBD) - Littlefield is the new home to one of the fastest growing cotton seed business in the nation, and with cotton king on the South Plains, that's good news.  In February, Bayer CropScience purchased Associated Farmers Delinting Inc. in Littlefield.

The facility is located in the heart of the agriculture community, and the Director of Operations for Bayer CropScience says their new location makes it easier to communicate with their customers, but it also gives them an opportunity to give back.

"Recently we bought some jackets for the volunteer fire department. We do things with the school, we hosted something with the senior class recently," Monty Christian said.

Bayer CropScience uses plant biotechnology to improve and produce high quality seed for farmers to output better crops.
