LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Schools were a large focus of Thursday's town hall meeting held by Lubbock City Councilman Floyd Price.
Lubbock ISD Superintendent Karen Garza addressed concerns about combining Isles and Wheatley Elementary Schools. Garza says the district simply cannot afford to maintain small schools. The plan is to build a new, $17-million school on the Wheatley property.
Garza says Wheatley would remain open during construction.
