Source: Lubbock Co. Sheriff's OfficeLUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock County jury, on Tuesday, found 19-year-old Matthew Gonzales guilty of aggravated robbery.
The conviction is for a September 2008 robbery, but sentencing will include testimony from a June 2008 attempted capital murder charge and a July 2008 attempted capital murder charge where Gonzales is accused of shooting a Texas Tech student and stealing his car.
The prosecutor says Gonzales faces life in prison, so depending on what the jury decides; he may or may not go to trial for the two other cases.
Jury members will reconvene at 9 a.m. in the 364th District Court.
