Muleshoe assault victim refuses to tell police anything

By James Clark | email

MULESHOE, TX (KCBD) - An assault victim refuses to tell Muleshoe Police how he got hit in the face with a brick Monday night.  Chief Brian Frieda says the man also suffered a stab wound.   Police have not released his name but Frieda says his wounds are not considered life threatening.  He was airlifted from Muleshoe Area Medical Center to Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

As of Tuesday evening, officers don't know where the assault happened and so officers have not been able to look for witnesses.  Their first notification of the assault came from the hospital in Muleshoe.  Frieda says he's concerned that the victim may want to "go handle it himself" after recovering and getting out of the hospital.
