LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Many Lubbock drivers are frustrated with a sudden spike in the prices at the pump.
KCBD NewsChannel 11 spotted regular unleaded for $2.39 Tuesday morning, but by the afternoon, that same station was up to $2.56, and the story is pretty much the same all over town.
Industry analysts say a steep increase in wholesale gas prices ruined our steady summer. The good news, however, is that those same experts do not expect prices to go much higher, unless a hurricane shuts down oil production in the Gulf of Mexico.
