Fire Burns Church Roof in Central Lubbock - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A fire broke out at about 4:30 p.m. at the Sunset Church of Christ Friday. Fire officials say it started on the roof near where roofers had been tarring earlier in the week. But roofers were not doing any work Friday, so the fire marshal's office is investigating.

The fire was contained to the center of the roof. The building was evacuated and no one was injured.
