A seizure behind the wheel caused a head on collision in northeast Lubbock around 1:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
Lubbock Police say that Alberto Castro was eastbound on 4th St. near the I-27 overpass Saturday when he had a seizure and lost control of his truck. The truck slammed head-on into a car stopped at the intersection.
Castro and his children, five year-old Carlos and two year-old Alexia, were transported to University Medical Center. Castro and Carlos were treated a released, Alexia remains in serious condition.
The driver of the car had serious injuries, but he refused treatment. The accident is under investigation.
