LUBBOCK,TX(KCBD)- Monday August 9th, 2010 will mark four years since the disappearance of Peggy Merimon and Kay Harrelson.
Thursday afternoon the Lubbock County District Attorney's office said "thank you" to more that one hundred people involved in their search and recovery.
The women were last scene at the Lubbock State School in August of 2006. Harrelson's body was found 11 days later, Merimon's body was missing until this past May.
113 men and women were commended for their involvement, those recognized included Lubbock Police Officers, Sheriff's Deputies, the Medical Examiners Officer and Texas University.
Each of those involved in the search and recovery were presented with a "Justice Award Coin."
