LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Red Raiders kicked off a new era in Texas Tech football Saturday as the team hit the practice field for the fall season under new head coach Tommy Tuberville. Practice began for Tech at 3 p.m. sharp, and the Red Raider faithful that braved the heat got to see quite a show.
The Red Raiders were happy to be back on the field, and since the first day of practice falls in the dead of August, hydration played a big part. Fans got to see a new-look offense, with plenty of new bells and whistles to talk about, not to mention the two quarterbacks who will be battling it out these next couple of weeks - Taylor Potts and Steven Sheffield.
This weekend's practices are the only ones open to the public this year, and Sunday's starts at 3:45 p.m. at Jones AT&T Stadium.
