Fight for Pooper Scoopers Gaining Ground

A one-woman crusade to rid city parks of pet waste is gaining momentum.

Tuesday, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board endorsed Delinda Harrell's mutt mitt mission. Harrell wants the city to install a minimum of 176 mutt mitt stations in parks. The stations offer plastic mitts so you can pick up after your pet.

Harrell wants your help in raising money to build those mutt mitt stations. You can send an $80 sponsorship to the following:

Harrell will present the health concerns of pet waste in city parks at the Board of Health meeting on June 13th.
