Tahoka water leak repaired; residents still need to boil water

TAHOKA, TX (KCBD) - Although the major water leak on 7th Street in Tahoka was repaired at 3 a.m. Friday morning, residents need to boil their water until further notice.

The water was shut off city-wide Thursday night due to the leak. City Officials are telling residents to boil their water for five minutes, which is the designated time per the State. Testing on the water will take place Monday because the labs are closed on Friday.

The City of Tahoka has a calling system that is on it's way to being up and going. If you want to be on the Tahoka calling system, you can go to the city offices at 1612 Lockwood Street in Tahoka and fill out the registration card.
