Car Bursts Into Flames Near Slaton

A man driving near Slaton Wednesday morning got an unwelcome surprise when his car caught fire.

The car burst into flames on Highway 84 about 1:30 on Wednesday morning. Smoke poured out from under the hood but, Slaton firefighters were able to put the fire out. The man driving was not injured.
