United Blood Services announces urgent need for all blood types

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - United Blood Services has announced an urgent need for blood. Local hospitals use has been greater than the number of donations. All blood types are needed.

The requirements for donating are simple; you must be at least 16 years of age and be in good health.

Go to www.bloodhero.com or call 797-6804 to make an appointment, and then donate at least three times a year.

The Blood Donation Center is located at 48th and University.

Center Hours are:

  • Monday – 9:00 till 5:30
  • Tuesday – 11:00 till 7:00
  • Wednesday – 9:00 till 5:30
  • Thursday – 11:00 till 7:00
  • Friday – 9:00 till 4:00
  • Saturday – 9:00 till 2:00
