TxDOT starts work on safety improvement to F.M. 1264

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) began a project to make safety improvements to FM 1264 Monday.  The $118,261 project will add flashing beacons to two FM 1264 intersections in northern Lubbock County.

The flashing beacons will be added to all stop signs on FM 1264 at the FM 1267 and FM 2641 intersections. Both intersections are four-way stop conditions. The project also includes stop bar pavement markings and culvert work.

No major road closures are expected to occurring during the project, but motorists are asked to drive with caution through the work zone, be on the lookout for workers and avoid distractions for their own safety and the safety of the workers.
