Two years later, LPD still looking for answers to Lubbock homicide

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Two years later, the Lubbock Police Department is still searching for information and tips into the 2008 homicide of a Lubbock woman. Monica Isabel Adams, 29, was found dead in a field near north MLK and Bradley. A man checking a pump-jack near Martin Luther King Blvd. and East Bradley discovered Adam's body around 9 a.m. August 20th, 2008.

Adams was known to stay at the Sunset Motel off of the Clovis Highway. Hotel owner John Joshi, at the time of her death, says she had stayed there on and off with her boyfriend before. Joshi said he had seen Adams' boyfriend be abusive towards her. Joshi said Adams was a nice person, but was known to be involved in prostitution.

Police say she suffered blunt force trauma to the head. They believe she went missing August 15th or 16th of 2008.

Authorities continue their investigation, and they're hoping this new information will lead to new tips. If you know anything about her death, call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000. You can remain anonymous.
