LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - After the long summer break, drivers will want to remember to watch out for the kiddos as you head to work Monday, and not just for their safety. A new study by Allstate Insurance shows drives caught speeding in Texas school zones face an average fine of $211.
The survey found Lubbock fines a are above that average at $222 for those caught driving ten miles over the posted speed limit. If you're curious, the highest fines were found in Huntsville and College Station at more than $300 each.
