LUBBOCK COUNTY, TX (KCBD) - A good Samaritan north of Lubbock paid dearly for his act of kindness. A 35-year-old man stopped to help a motorist on North University Avenue north of 1729. Then, the victim had his throat cut from behind.
Lubbock County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Cody Scott tells KCBD NewsChannel 11 that the 911 call came from the victim at 8:13 PM Sunday. Scott says the injuries are not life threatening.
When EMS arrived, the victim was able to describe a suspect vehicle. Sheriff's Deputies stopped a blue Chevy truck with dealer tags and made an arrest. Scott did not release the name of the arrested suspect or the victim.
