LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - One person is dead following an accident on the Tahoka Highway over the weekend.
DPS Troopers tell NewsChannel 11 that 59-year-old Ermina Honesto, of Tahoka, was driving on the shoulder of US Highway 87, ten miles south of Lubbock, Saturday night when she merged into traffic. That is when a car hit the back of her minivan.
The passenger in the car, 69-year-old Joyce Powers of Lamesa was taken to the hospital where she later died. Her husband, Samuel and Honesto are both listed in stable condition
