Piranha Relative Caught in Midland Pond

Midland resident, Michael Campbell, reeled in a close relative of the piranha family while fishing at a Midland pond.

It's called a black pacu and it has plenty of teeth. This specimen was 14-inches long, and weighed in at about four pounds. Pacus are mainly vegetarians that will adapt to eat almost anything.

For now, Texas Parks and Wildlife is warning residents to stay out of the pond, just in case.
