LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Congressman Randy Neugebauer was in Lubbock Thursday hosting a town hall meeting where more than a hundred locals showed up to hear what he had to say.
It is his fifth stop this month as he makes his way across the 19th District. "As I travel around the district, people are upset about the direction of the country. They're concerned and they're also apprehensive," says Neugebauer.
Among the hot topics, most people at the meeting were worried about health care reform, immigration policies and the national deficit spiraling out of control. With all these controversial issues on the table, Neugebauer expects more voters this election year.
"I think we're going to see people on both sides of the aisle in record numbers going to come out and vote in November, and that's a good thing," he said.
Neugebauer's last stop this month will be in Abilene on August 31st.
