LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock County man faces up to life in prison. Last week Julio Cesar DelaCruz pleaded guilty to one count of Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Related Crime. Officers searched his home, in the 2600 block of County Road 7650, in February, finding a handgun, more than $4,500 cash, scales, cocaine, and a notebook that court records describe as a "drug ledger." DelaCruz will be sentenced at a later date. The minimum penalty is 5 years. The maximum is life in prison.
