LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - One local official and one local business are both fined for environmental violations by the TCEQ or Texas Commission On Environmental Quality. Last week commissioners approved a $210 fine against the City Of Wilson's Water Superintendent. The TCEQ said he did not have the proper license to operate a wastewater facility. Public records indicate Joshua Isham paid the fine and already took corrective action. In September Commissioners are expected to approve a fine $1,750 against the New Deal Travel Center for not having the proper licenses on its underground fuel storage tanks.
