I-27 returning to normal after woman safely moved

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Police were called to I-27 near the 34th Street exit during the 4:00 O'clock hour.  Initial reports were that a man was threatening to jump but it turned out instead to be a woman at the 42nd Street overpass threatening to jump.

A negotiator was called out to talk the woman down from the bridge, and by 5:25 PM police confirmed that the woman had been safely taken from the bridge.  Also as of 5:25 PM, police confirmed that traffic was being re-opened.
