So who made the grade? And who needs to study a little bit more? Two of the eight schools inspected were cited for the same critical violation.
Health inspectors found dirty utensils stored with some clean ones at Estacado High School located at 1504 East Itasca Street, and Harwell Elementary at 4101 Avenue D. The reports shoe the items were put in the dishwasher.
Now to the top of the class. Four elementary schools aced their test. Bean Elementary at 3001 Avenue N, Guadalupe Elementary at 101 N. Avenue P, Hodges Elementary at 5001 Avenue P, and Parkway Elementary at 406 N. Zenith Avenue.
Dunbar Middle School at 2010 E. 26th Street and O.L. Slaton Middle School at 1600 32nd street both made a perfect score as well.
On to four restaurants in town dishing up a plate of perfection. "We recognize we have a clean place, clean environment. We're proud of that," says Giorgio's Pizza owner George Shadid.

This lunch spot downtown serves up slices sure to melt your mouth, and home to the biggest pizza in Lubbock. "It's consistent, it's clean, it's good, it's fast, it's friendly. and affordable, the price is right," says Shadid.
Right next door a deopt district hot spot is another winner with top scores. Triple J Chophouse and Brew Company at 1807 Buddy Holly Avenue serves up great food, beer and a family atmosphere.
Other local food joints making the perfection list include Legends Chinese Restaurant at 6302 Frankford Avenue Ste. 3 and Pizza Hut at 4401 82nd Street.
