LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) –Certain over-the-counter cough and cold medicines may soon be moved behind the counter to keep kids from Robotripping.  That's the term to describe kids who chug an entire bottle of Robitussin or something like that to get high.  The ingredient they're looking for is D-X-M. Actually, there are about 100 over the counter medications that contain that.

Robotripping is a growing trend and kids think it's safe because anyone can buy cough medicine over the counter. That's why an FDA advisory panel will meet later this month to look at putting any medicine with D-X-M behind the counter and harder for kids to reach.
