Officials investigating cause of fire that damaged apartment complex

Posted: Updated:

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire at an apartment complex in west Lubbock.

A storage unit burst into flames around 11:50 p.m. Thursday night at the Green Gables apartment complex near 19th and Quaker Avenue. The fire then spread to a nearby apartment building.

Firefighters put out the blaze in about 30 minutes. Neighbors, who reported the fire, say vandals have been targeting the Green Gables apartments since all residents moved out several weeks ago.
