Warming through Labor Day

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The South Plains will warm through Labor Day with breezy afternoons.

Saturday sunny with a warm and breezy afternoon. Southerly winds 10 to 20 mph gusting to around 25 mph. Warm with a high temperature in the mid 80s.

Tonight clear and cool. Overnight low in the upper 50s.

Sunday sunny with a very warm and breezy afternoon. Southerly winds of 10 to 20 mph will gust to near 30 mph.

If you are in the sun during the TTU v SMU game expect to be hot. Wear plenty of sunscreen. Kickoff temperatures will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Breezy with southerly winds 10 to 20 mph and gusting to near 30 mph.

Labor Day mostly sunny, breezy and very warm. The high temperature will be on the hot side at about the mid 90s.

Late Tuesday through Thursday a slight chance of thunderstorms.
