Gearing up for the Tech vs. SMU game

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Saddle Tramps are wrapping up the Will Rogers statue on Campus for the first time this season.

Friday afternoon they tied red and black streamers on cars coming onto campus. They're gearing up for Sunday's game against SMU. "It's what it's all about, college football is what it's all about come Sunday," says Raul Celedon, Saddle Tramp.

Friday also marked College Colors Day. Lubbock City Council made the proclamation at their August 26th meeting. It's a day to promote higher education and celebrate the achievements, spirit and traditions of colleges and universities.

Friday also kicks off Raider Power Fridays. Tech President Guy Bailey proclaimed each Friday during Football season as a day to wear Texas Tech gear to support the team.
