Neugebauer Gets Sworn In To Congress

Randy Neugebauer of Lubbock is now officially recognized in Washington.

Neugebauer became the newest member of Texas' Congressional Delegation Thursday in a swearing-in ceremony on the U.S. House floor. He took the oath from House Speaker Dennis Hastert while surrounded by several of Texas' Republican House members.

After that, it was time to go to work. "We had a classified briefing on Iraq this afternoon by Secretary Rumsfeld, and I actually had a few minutes to visit with him. So it's been a very fun day, an eventful day. There was not much time for celebration. We came up and went right to work for the people of the 19th District," said District 19 U.S. Representative, Randy Neugebauer.

Neugebauer will finish the unexpired term of retired Congressman Larry Combest.
