Family Of Fatal Fire Victim Seeks Suit Against Electric Companies

In January of this year, a house fire killed a Texas woman and her three children. Now her relatives are suing three electrical companies who had electrical outlets inside the home.

The deadly fire happened in Hermleigh, about 95 miles Southeast of Lubbock. The woman's husband and parents filed the wrongful death suit claiming negligence against Eagle Electric Manufacturing, Leviton Manufacturing and General Electric.

The night of the fire the trailer was packed with space heaters that were turned on as temperatures were below freezing. But, fire investigators say the space heaters didn't cause the blaze. The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
