Designated dean at Texas Tech rescinds acceptance

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The woman who was named dean of the college of engineering at Texas Tech took-back her acceptance Wednesday.  Back in June, Tech announced that Elizabeth Dickey would take over as dean next year.

Dickey was coming to Tech from Pennsylvania State University and was scheduled to start in January. No reason has been given as to why Dickey decided to rescind her acceptance.

Tech says they'll continue their search, and they still intend to have a new dean in place by January first.
